There’s a spot above Rydal, just up through the White Moss Woods, where you can see Grasmere and Rydal Water at the same time. It’s a pretty magical place. Also…it tests your patience in terms of sunrises! The sun has to clear the fells, and often by the time it does, there’s a wall of cloud in the way. I was lucky this time – a sunbeam crept through onto the forests above the lake.
