Hands up, I thought these were Dragonflies until a couple of days ago. I’d wager a few of you did too! Well…they’re not : )  Not sure I’d ever heard the word Damselfly before! Thanks Andy Hamilton @druham as always, for his Attenborough-ian knowledge of the natural world. I have so many shots of these – they are magnificent creatures, and honestly, total posers. This guy literally followed me and kept landing inches from the camera. His body shimmered like blue metal in the sunlight.
