This was a beautiful day. Drove the car as far as I could towards the Sally Gap – was a slippy mile or two to make it up over the hill and into one of my favourite places – the forests above Lough Teagh. The sun was sinking behind the mountains – the shadows were long and blue and the trees shone gold. Once in a decade snowfall created a real winter wonderland.
