Every year I make my way through the forests of Wray Castle to stand on the edge of Lake Windermere for dawn. Feels like a secret place – I’ve never seen another soul there. I love these twisted trees on the lake’s edge – the sky was clear enough to catch the dawnlight through them, shimmering on the water.
