Buttermere is a really magical place. I usually stay near the central lakes, so it’s a drive to get out there, past Keswick and Derwentwater and all the way along the beautiful Borrowdale Valley, stopping at the majestic @hazel_bank_country_house to say hi to Gary (who’s as lovely as ever : ) There’s a tranquility to the lake, a majesty to these towering pines. Just love it. Been a few years since I made it out that way and the light was sublime.
