I heard the rain drumming on the window when the alarm went off, and one look outside told me it was going to be a dark, grey dawn. Still, the clouds were heavy enough that I thought the forests would be misty, so I hopped in the car and headed for the hills. Half way to the Sallygap, the clouds split and these god rays just burst across the landscape. I’ve so many to process – this is the first shot out. Was a beautiful sight.
