I was lucky to catch the sunrise over Windermere again this year – right at the lake’s edge. Peering through these gnarled trees, it was like looking down at the sky – felt like you were flying. I would normally avoid exposing for the sun in frame, even in a reflection like this, but by shooting multiple exposures and combining them, this image ended up close to what I actually saw. The little flare of light is called a ‘sunstar’, a beautiful word I only recently learned (thanks @will.holligan!).
