From Mount Pilatus
August 21, 2011 by phil | SummerToday was a pretty amazing day. We travelled to Lucerne from Zurich – my wife, sister and two daughters – and went up the cable cars to the top of Mount Pilatus. I can’t really articulate how utterly incredible the whole experience was without descending into hopeless hyperbole, so I’ll spare you. It was simply….awesome. I’ve wanted to experience this kind of view for pretty much as long as I can remember, and it was really special to get to do it with my family. The church perched on the edge of the mountaintop is just mind-boggling! This panorama was shot at about 17000px across with a Canon 7D (thanks Ezy!).
Here is a crop of the church at 100% resolution -
